In Classroom Visits

MESS Ambassadors are looking forward to visiting your middle or high school class! They’ll deliver grade-level appropriate talks and demonstrations to convey to your students just how exciting careers in mechanical engineering can be. Teachers can specify dates, times, and specific curriculum they’d like MESS to address. Ambassadors are happy to answer any questions about mechanical engineering or college life in general. Currently the MESS program offers five modules: Machine Design, Vibrations, Alternative Energy, Bio-Mechanics, and Composites.  A description of each module is below:

Machine Design

Ever wonder what makes a machine work? In the Machine Design module students will learn how to put together gears, links and cams  to form a simple mechanism.
